Veggies NKO fertilizer is formulated for use on a wide variety of vegetable crops. This blend provides nitrogen, potassium and soluble magnesium in several forms and should be applied to crops with a nitrogen to potassium requirement of 1:1.  For best results, use Veggies NKO in combination with Veggies Plus.

All Fertilizer Ingredients comply with requirements of the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) as specified in 7 CFR Part 205.

For asparagus, use less Veggies NKO during crop establishment and increase the amount once the plants reach full production. For kale, Veggies NKO can be applied in higher quantities to extend the growing season.

Typical Application Rates

Balanced for crops in the general vegetable crops:

  • Brassicas – Apply 400 lbs per acre or about 9.2 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
  • Cucurbit – Apply 400 lbs. per acre or about 9.2 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
  • Root Crops – Apply 200-300 lbs. per acre or about 4.6 to 7 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
  • Potatoes – Apply 600-1000 lbs. per acre or about 14 to 23.5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
  • Strawberries – Apply 400 lbs. per acre or about 9.2 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
  • Asparagus – Apply 400-600 lbs. per acre or about 9.2 to 14 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
