Founded in Innovation
For over 40 years, Midwestern BioAg® has been at the forefront of transforming farming practices–delivering innovative, research-backed organic and conventional solutions to improve soil health and support thriving operations. Sulfate of potash is on approximately 16 million acres in the Midwest because we discovered the value that even the manufacturer didn’t understand. We brought humates to the market. We brought the first homogenized micronutrient fertilizer to the market. TerraNu® Technologies is driving growers to record yields and continues to be a huge growth factor for us.
Our Latest Innovation
Bio-Gel® is on that same path. Most critically, we have leaned heavily into our on-farm trial program to prove how the product works and its potential impact on yields. Bio-Gel® helps solve nitrogen limitations by increasing the efficiency of liquid nitrogen applications, preventing leaching while also driving nutrient uptake. In the Corn Belt, we have seen 20-30 bushel increases on corn from farms with nitrogen limitations. In North Dakota, we saw an astounding 41 bushel increase for corn in a field with multi-year TerraNu® applications.
Driving Forward Through Innovation
It’s easy to throw out those numbers to drive interest. Our trial program ensures we can be confident that our products do what we say they do. The farms where we did not see those results had other yield limitations, most frequently potassium. Potassium ran out and cut off any need for increased nitrogen uptake.
Midwestern BioAg is first and foremost an agronomy company. We have adapted our approach to be data-first to meet the expectations of the broader market that doesn’t know us, but wants what we have to offer. Together, we are again pushing the industry forward with our understanding of nutrient availability as a driver of yields, because that is what drives our success from our legacy approach to our innovative products.
