Monoammonium phosphate (MAP) is a key source of soluble phosphorus in Midwestern BioAg’s conventional fertilizer blends. Typically containing 10-11% nitrogen and 50-52% phosphorus, MAP has a pH range of 4.0 to 4.5, making it an effective nutrient option for a variety of applications.
We recommend applying MAP over diammonium phosphate (DAP) for three key reasons:
- It reduces free ammonia in the soil.
- It encourages more phosphorus uptake.
- It enhances micronutrient availability in the soil.
